GIVING LARGE: Though Carlyle doesn't reveal its executive compensation numbers, charitable gifts by two of its co-founders indicate healthy incomes: David Rubinstein gave his $21 million copy of the Magna Carta to the National Archives, and William Conway donated $5 million to help care for the homeless.
