Gannett owns 85 daily newspapers in the United States, including USA Today, and about 1,000 non-daily publications. The company also has 23 television stations, as well as extensive newspaper holdings in Britain; it owns CareerBuilder.com with Tribune Co., McClatchy and Microsoft, which bought in last year.
