Atlanta-based United Parcel Service is the world's largest package delivery company, serving more than 200 countries and territories. The company, which marked its 100th anniversary in August, reached a labor agreement with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters covering more than 240,000 employees. The new contract runs through July 2013 and includes a provision to withdraw about 45,000 employees from their pension plan and set up a new, jointly trusteed plan.
