Washington Sports is the holding company for the Verizon Center and the Washington Wizards. In 2007, the Verizon Center marked its 10th anniversary by hosting 200 events, drawing more than 2.5 million patrons. The arena installed a high-definition video screen, improved the luxury suites and made other upgrades with help from a city ticket tax. This season, the Wizards qualified for the NBA playoffs for the fourth year in a row.
