The radio industry's dominant audience-measurement firm said in March that it was moving its headquarters from New York to Columbia, the place it called the heart of its operations and home to more than two-thirds of its workers. A few weeks later, the firm said it was cutting about 10 percent of its workers, or about 110 employees. Besides radio, Arbitron also works with other media, as well as studies customers' behavior.
