Private-equity firm Carlyle Group bought 80-year-old Arinc in October 2007. Arinc provides transportation, communications and systems engineering to the aviation, aerospace, defense, health-care and surface transportation industries. In the past few months, the company has opened two sales offices in India, a Miami office to connect it with Latin America, and a new testing center at its home base of Annapolis.
