BGR has given up its all-Republican status, though it continues to be led by former Bush White House aides Lanny Griffith and Ed Rogers. In November, it bought Westin Rinehart, a lobby firm led by Democratic strategist Morris L. Reid. Also last year, BGR opened a London office and a public-relations unit to go along with its traditional lobbying firm and financial services firm. Clients have included IBM, Citigroup, Raytheon, Qatar and India.
