Cilantro Daiquiri

The Washington Post, August 24, 2005
  • Cuisine: Central/South American
  • Course: Beverage

Summary:

The flavor of this daiquiri is like a light version of a mojito. Allow a week to infuse the rum with cilantro.

1 serving

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 bunch cilantro
  • 3 limes, quartered
  • 1 liter light rum
  • 1 ounce Simple Syrup
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice

Directions:

For the cilantro-infused rum, place cilantro and limes in an airtight container. Add the rum. Leave mixture in container for one week. This makes enough rum infusion for about 12 cocktails.

When ready to serve, fill shaker with ice and add 1 1/2 ounces of cilantro-infused rum, 1 ounce simple syrup and the lemon and lime juice. Shake well and strain into an ice-filled glass.
