Intro: Greatest power source is God, sadly he is the most overlooked and untapped source of all our resources!
1: Wasting your potential
a) God has a plan for you
b) He has a mission
c) A job, a purpose
Point: Majority of God's people live out their lives never finding what it is God wants for them to do. Why? Fear, fear of what, failure, sucess, mostly it's just unbelief.
2: Unbelief
a) Not trusting God
1) I can do it on my own
2)that's alright God I can handle it this is personal
b) God is a personal God
c) Unbelief is widespread and rampant in our churches today
Point: People don't have a one on one relationship with God. They don't know what's real and fake why? Simply because they do not take time to read God's word and pray!!
Body: Man has a sick son (Matt17:14-20)
1: How many of us only call on God when things are bad?
a) Jesus my son is sick
b) He's overcome with a demon
c) I saw your disciples first but they couldn't do anything
2: Thank God for teachers and preachers
a) Any part of the body of christ
b) Thank God for them
c)We need people to stand for the cause of Christ
Point: We need church, we need pastors, teachers, singers, speakers, anyone doing God's work for God's glory
But we must remember God is the source of all our strength and power.
3: There are times when you need to go straight to the source.
a) take it straight to jesus
b) That problem give it to God
c) Addiction give it to God
4: Father's faith shaken
a) disciples couldn't heal his son
b) Mark 9 gives a more descriptive account
c) The scribes questioned the disciples
1) The father sys to Jesus IF you can do anything have compassion
2) The father has unbelief
TO HAVE FAITH IS TO BELIEVE TO BELEIVE IS TO TRUST TRUST TAKES COURAGE
DO YOU HAVE THE COURAGE TO TRUST JESUS CHRIST WITH EVERYTHING
ARE YOU READY TO TAP INTO THE GREATEST POWER SOURCE KNOWN TO MAN
MUSTARD SEED FAITH MATT 17:20
PLANT A SEED GOD CHANGES THE NATURE OF THAT SEED INTO A PLANT THEN THE POWER OF LIFE SURGES THROUGH YOUR YOUNG TENDER PLANT TO SUCH A GREAT EXTENT THAT NOT EVEN A MOUNTAIN CAN STOP YOUR PLANT FROM PUSHING UPWARD
WHEN YOU RELAESE IT TO GOD IT TAKES A NEW NATURE
THE FATHER'S SON HEALED INSTANTLY
USE THE POWER TO GET OVER YOUR MOUNTAIN
