Anne Hull

Anne Hull is a reporter on The Post's national staff. She focuses on transformations in American society, often writing about immigration and class. Along with Dana Priest, she is the co-author of the 2007 investigation on the neglect of war-wounded soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Among other stories Anne has covered were Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Anne has been a Pulitzer Prize finalist several times. She has twice won the American Society of Newspaper Editors Distinguished Writing Award and in 2007 won the Batten Medal for her coverage of the Iraq war’s burden on a small number of Americans. Her articles have been anthologized in non-fiction and journalism textbooks, including Best American Political Writing 2002 and several editions of Best Newspaper Writing.
Anne, who grew up in rural Florida and attended Florida State University, was a 1995 Nieman Fellow at Harvard University.
