Global Defense Technology & Systems, Inc. (GTEC), headquartered in McLean, Virginia (formerly The Analysis Corporation), provides mission-critical technology-based systems, solutions, and services for national security agencies and programs of the U.S. government. Services and solutions are integral parts of mission-critical programs run by the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, Department of Homeland Security, federal law enforcement agencies, and other parts of the federal government charged with national security responsibilities. GTEC's primary areas of expertise include counterterrorism intelligence and analysis, data analysis and intelligence fusion tools, force mobility, modernization and survivability systems, maritime domain awareness and navigation systems, systems and software engineering, network and communications management and decision support systems for command and control. The company has 680 intelligence analysts, IT specialists, engineers, scientists, subject matter experts and production personnel.
GTEC was previously an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the U.K.-based Global Strategies Group (GLOBAL), until it announced its proposed Initial Public Offering (IPO) on 4 September 2009.
