S.T.A.L.K.E.R., which stands for Scavengers, Trespassers, Adventurers, Loners, Killers, Explorers and Robbers, is an ambitious game that has been in development for about four years. Normally such a long development cycle is the kiss of death for a game, but although S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl overreaches in places, it does deliver a unique first-person shooter experience.
