Washington Post Review
When Fox released "Ice Age," the computer-animated film took people by surprise. In fact, there was only a rushed Game Boy Advance game to commemorate the occasion. With the sequel, Vivendi Universal Games has pulled out all the stops with "Ice Age 2: The Meltdown," available for just about every platform out there. Developer Eurocom, which had success with its Hollywood-crossover "Batman Begins" game, has expanded the roles of the film's central characters into an entertaining ride that offers nearly 10 hours of gameplay. Helping connect the film to the video game is the inclusion of actors Ray Romano, John Leguizamo and Denis Leary, who breathe life into their virtual prehistoric protagonists.
