Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King

Washington Post Review
Gameplay is your typical fare: Travel to new towns, talk to people, encounter enemies in the field and engage in turn-based battles. It's slow paced, but as you go to higher levels, the rewards make it worth the wait. Also, whenever a character's level increases, he or she is given skill points. They can be allocated among five skill sets, which differ by character.
