Washington Post Review
Age of Empires III takes us back in time to between 1500 and 1850. The first thing you will notice are the incredible graphics. Battlegrounds have perfect-looking terrain. When armies fight, you may end up too stunned by the amazing physics engine to continue your command. Firing artillery into a building will cause chunks to fly off. Firing into a crowd of charging infantry has a similar effect with blood and bodies flying. And a broadside into a ship will send debris spectacularly splashing into the water.
