Why should voters elect you?
"Native, life-long Democrat, attorney, represented businesses, abused and neglected children; was assistant people's counsel representing D.C. consumers. Accountable, inclusive, independent, resourceful, visionary. Loves Ward 7."
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"The most urgent issue facing the ward is a crisis of resources. Ward 7 needs good schools, jobs, vocational training, literacy programs, responsible economic development, crime reduction and a fair share of new police recruits, clean and healthy environment, cultural arts, access to meaningful health care, revitalization, libraries, restaurants, retail, good streets, mixed-income home owners, transportation, trees and park maintenance, recreation and senior centers. Ward 7 needs a reentry program, a Level 1 trauma hospital, revenue-generating sources, public-private partnerships, a way to keep youths engaged and prepared for leadership and future growth jobs, and to prevent further spread of HIV-AIDS."
