Why should voters elect you?
"With a proven record of changing laws in D.C. and 12 states, I know how government works: making it accountable for residents of the ward."
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"How do you eat a hippopotamus? How do you provide consistent constituent services for a diverse jurisdiction? One bite at a time. Ward 4 has many issues. Crime in Petworth, controversial development in Lamond Riggs, drugs in Brightwood, burglaries in 16th Street Heights, car thefts in Fort Stevens, traffic congestion in Takoma and an out-of-control deer population in Colonial Village. There is speeding; dirty, patched-up alleys; and an urgent need for economic development. With more seniors, a growing Hispanic community and 2,500 ex-offenders coming home annually, bringing city services to all in Ward 4 is the most urgent issue."
