Why should voters elect you?

As a civic activist, I have worked on behalf of citizen agendas for many years and have vowed never to accept campaign contributions from developers.

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

Rockville is at a crossroads. Just as in the 2006 county election, Rockville is facing a clear choice: out-of-control overdevelopment or managed development at a slower pace. Unmanaged growth worsens traffic gridlock, exacerbates school overcrowding and reduces quality of life. As we move forward, development must be accompanied by the infrastructure to support it, not soak city taxpayers and enhance quality of life. By slowing growth and eliminating taxpayer-subsidized overdevelopment, we can preserve Rockville's hometown character, be more proactive about public safety, protect our environment and get a handle on city spending.
