Why should voters elect you?
Thirty years of leadership experience in building community organizations is an invaluable skill set in continuing to build a more inclusive community.
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
My top goal is to unify the community through coordinated planning for all sectors of the city, including an effective intra-city transportation and walkways program, which provides easier access to the many recreational, educational, commercial and cultural opportunities available throughout town without a personal vehicle. Important for families, children, seniors and people with disabilities, as well as pedestrians and bicyclists, this will also help reduce pollution and our dependence on fossil fuel. I applied for a grant to the Washington Council of Governments' Transportation/Land Use Connection Program to design this program and will work on this in my next term.
