Why should voters elect you?
I have knowledge and experience serving on council plus the qualities citizens expect: integrity, willingness to listen, desire to learn and will to act.
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
Although issues of public safety, taxes and maintaining services in a tight fiscal arena are important, I believe that development in Greenbelt West will have the most profound long-term impact on Greenbelt. Metroland promises upscale shopping and transit-oriented development. Springhill Lake redevelopment promises to transform it into a safer community. Add to that proposed Beltway Plaza projects and Greenbelt will have more residents and businesses, leading to increased revenue and potentially more involved citizens. I will work to see that the right decisions are made in these projects to see that increased demand for services does not outweigh the benefits.
