Why should voters elect you?
Almost every issue coming before the Rockville City Council involves numbers, and Rockville needs a council member who understands what those numbers mean in real terms.
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
Development, because the Rockville government has gone into the development business, forgetting their main business should be serving the citizens. For example, in Town Center, Rockville used $49 million in public money we the taxpayers hold the mortgage on that project. For the same financial commitment we could have funded in full nearly every other project on the books for the next five years. Taxpayers can no longer afford to subsidize development. We need to focus on funding government services and repairing the infrastructure shortfalls that have accumulated, including those in traffic, pedestrian and public safety, social services and our environment.
