For developer accountability, city government budget transparency, preservation of Rockville's neighborhoods, public safety and protection of Rockville's vulnerable populations: the poor and elderly.
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
The Rockville Zoning Ordinance Revision and the committee working to modernize it (RORZOR). The next mayor and council will work with RORZOR, which in the next 90 days will be engaged in rezoning exercises that will affect zoning codes in spring. The public needs to have adequate time to review and provide inputs regarding the future RORZOR proposals and ensure it provides for the preservation of shrinking green spaces, preserves existing neighborhoods, accounts for public, traffic and pedestrian safety, controls population density and capacity overload, prevents overdevelopment and promotes environmentally friendly developments and a reduction of Rockville's carbon footprint.
