Why should voters elect you?

"As a lifelong resident of Dumfries, I have never taken my community for granted, and I won't play politics with the issues that affect us."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"I believe that our most pressing concern continues to be our transportation crisis. We must work to end the abusive-driver tax that unfairly targets Virginia drivers and find a real solution that will get Northern Virginia residents out of traffic and home to their families."

What is your plan to address the traffic problems in Virginia?

I believe that we need to dedicate a real and sustainable revenue source to transportation- one that does not rely solely on harsh fines designed to punish Virginia drivers. We must also protect the Transportation Trust Fund to ensure that our transportation dollars are not diverted to other purposes. In addition, I believe that the politicians in Richmond must realize that the problem cannot be solved by simply adding more pavement. We have to change the way we think about the issue, and we can do that by investing more energy in public transit options, and by giving local governments the tools they need to coordinate land use with transportation decisions.

Do you think current policies governing growth & development in your area are too restrictive, not restrictive enough or just right?

not restrictive enough
