Why should voters elect you?

I'm moderate, understand legislating (Route 17 truck ban/safety improvements, gas chamber ban and other animal welfare legislation), and push hard for what I believe.

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

Preserving the heritage and lifestyle of the historic Shenandoah Valley while accommodating the demands of the 21st century and preparing for the impact of globalization.

What is your plan to address the traffic problems in Virginia?

See my platform planks, "Transportation, Not Roads" and Government Services, Not Headcount". In sum, an integrated plan incorporating modes, behaviors, destinations and funding. As to VDOT, a complete remake of this legacy agency into a lean, "Standards Agency" that outsources virtually all its present responsibilities and relies heavily on public/private partnerships.

Do you think current policies governing growth & development in your area are too restrictive, not restrictive enough or just right?

not restrictive enough
