Why should voters elect you?
During my service on the board, the school division has made consistent progress toward meeting No Child Left Behind goals and has been managed responsibly.
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
The growth of Prince William County has been so rapid that the school division has been unable to keep up with its infrastructure needs while at the same time addressing the demands of the No Child Left Behind Act. The huge increase in the number of students with limited English proficiency has also placed a strain on the system.
What is your plan to address the traffic problems in Virginia?
The School Division must encourage all students who are eligible to ride our busses to school, and all students within the walking boundaries to walk to school, instead of having their parents drive them. We also need to work with the County Government to provide safe walkways so more kids can walk to school.
Do you think current policies governing growth & development in your area are too restrictive, not restrictive enough or just right?
