Why should voters elect you?
"I will work full time to lower spending, tackle illegal immigration, enforce and strengthen not weaken overcrowding laws and oppose plans to virtually bulldoze Sterling."
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"Join me in a fight for lower taxes, even stronger restrictions on overcrowded homes, new policies and legal actions against illegal immigration and against plans to densely pack Sterling. I'm lowering spending, tackling illegal immigration and opposing plans to virtually bulldoze Sterling and turn it into Tysons Corner. I will attempt to reverse these harmful trends and attempt to restore the good equity of the real estate properties and restore the quality of life of Sterling. I raised over $100,000 for Discovery Park and Bill Allen Field and will raise more for the youth of Sterling in my next term."
What is your plan to address the traffic problems in Virginia?
I have led efforts for private and public mass transit when others mocked and attacked it publicly. I will continue to lead and fund mass transit against the opposition of slow growth obstructionists. As chairman of the Route 28 Tax district I will continue to administer Phase 3 expansions of service roads for Route 28 beyond the new lanes and 8 new interchanges. And I will make sure they open on time. When Tim Kaine wrongly kept the new Sterling Boulevard Interchange closed, I swung into action and got the Board of supervisors to unanimously call for the opening of the interchange. That completed interchange was opened within days, last November 2006 instead of six months later as "announced". Fighting illegal immigration will help relieve some of the overcrowded parking in some neighborhoods and get rid of junk cars and commercial vehicles blocking our streets and creating unsafe driving conditions.
Do you think current policies governing growth & development in your area are too restrictive, not restrictive enough or just right?
not restrictive enough
