Why should voters elect you?
"I'll work with both parties to protect the Virginia we love. We'll repeal abuser fees and stand up to developers to control growth and traffic."
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"Overdevelopment is the biggest problem in our area. Overdevelopment brings traffic, school crowding and environmental decay. I will stand up to developers and for sane, managed growth. I will work to give power back to localities so they can better work with developers to provide more transportation, more environmental protection and more schools as we grow. I will be chief advocate for a Loudoun and Clarke that believe both in economic growth as well as meticulously planned and environmentally favorable living quarters designed to integrate influxes of talent."
What is your plan to address the traffic problems in Virginia?
In the first six months we can expand express bus service to population centers all throughout west Loudoun and Clark, with discounts for veterans and senior citizens. In the following year we can get a real integrated bus system, with buses that go to routes within walking distance.
What we need is a fare reduction on the toll road for high occupancy vehicles, and computer synchronized traffic lights on feeder routes like those of 50 and route 7. I will fight to bring the metro lines further west, for new pay per use lanes on major highways that would be only expensive enough to self-finance and take pressure off the morning commute. Perhaps most important of all, I will stand up to developers when they seek to flood the sides of our roads with houses.
Do you think current policies governing growth & development in your area are too restrictive, not restrictive enough or just right?
not restrictive enough
