Why should voters elect you?

"This county is headed in the wrong direction, and it is time for a change in current leadership and the priorities for Fairfax."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"Congestion is the biggest problem facing Fairfax. Congestion harms the quality of life of every resident. I believe that congestion isn't the unsolvable result of more travel and less roads. I know congestion is the result of bad leadership and low priority. Our infrastructure needs have taken a back seat to over-development desires of those who have lavishly contributed to politicians in Fairfax. There is a perception that there is too much developer control leading to unacceptable traffic congestion."

What is your plan to address the traffic problems in Virginia?

Relieving congestion will be my number one priority of the County, not fifth priority out of six as is the case under current leadership. I favor creating more transportation bonds and proffers to provide monies for transportation programs and infrastructure upgrades like finishing the Fairfax County Parkway. I will make the traffic control center comprehensive and interactive where key intersections are visually monitored and made more efficient. I’ll use smart technology and cameras to keep traffic flowing. I will end this combined mess of developer control and unacceptable traffic congestion. By not taking developer contributions I will not be beholden to them or special interests and will make sure necessary road expansions and infrastructure are in place before supporting any new development projects.

Do you think current policies governing growth & development in your area are too restrictive, not restrictive enough or just right?

not restrictive enough
