Why should voters elect you?

To continue my partnership with people to preserve neighborhoods, streamline transportation, help every student learn and enable seniors to live independently in their homes.

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

Strengthen regulations on infill development in established communities to control storm water runoff, height and bulk of new structures; pressure the federal government to adequately fund roads, rail and new schools to support 20,000 people coming to Fort Belvoir; help seniors live independently in their homes; add more parks and open space; construct adequate flood control measures for the Huntington community; continue revitalization of Route 1; address overcrowding in schools, especially in the Lorton/Laurel Hill area and accelerate construction of South County Middle School.

What is your plan to address the traffic problems in Virginia?

We must demand that the federal government fund mass transit, other transportation projects and the infrastructure to support the move of 20,000 jobs, another Pentagon, to Northern Virginia; complete the Fairfax County Parkway to U. S. 1; finish the Woodrow Wilson Bridge improvements; push the state to complete the Route 1 improvements; provide rail on the U. S. 1 corridor; seek authority from the state legislature to lessen dependence on real estate taxes and expand our sources of revenue and seek stronger tools from the state legislature to better manage development.

Do you think current policies governing growth & development in your area are too restrictive, not restrictive enough or just right?

not restrictive enough
