Why should voters elect you?

"I am an experienced board member having successfully helped raise standards, increase accountability, manage changing demographics and guide budgets through both lean and generous years."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"Our children must receive a rigorous, well-rounded education — well beyond the basics — that challenges all learners, whether they are below, on or above grade level. We must be accountable for each child's progress using far more than standardized test scores. To be contributors to the global economy, where demographics are changing and technology is a powerful tool, our children must be problem solvers who are intellectually adventuresome and able to work and communicate with diverse peoples here and throughout the world. We need excellent teachers, reasonable class sizes, adequate facilities and strong partnerships with parents."
