Why should voters elect you?

As your delegate, I will stand up for the needs of Northern Virginia and maintain the commonwealth's reputation for good government and fiscal responsibility.

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

The most urgent problem facing our district is Virginia's transportation crisis. Herndon and Sterling desperately need extension of rail to Dulles to give Herndon and Sterling direct access to Metro. We also need to expand the entrances and exits to the Dulles Toll Road so congestion does not dangerously clog our local streets.

What is your plan to address the traffic problems in Virginia?

Any politician who claims they have already solved the problem is insulting our intelligence. The truth is we need to take many small steps and develop a comprehensive long term plan to solve our transportation problems. The House of Delegates has yet to develop such a plan, and I will demand they do.

The first place to start is by ensuring current projects finish on time and on budget. That means open-bid contracts for Metro to Dulles, standing up for local projects like expansion of Rt. 7 and improvement of the Dulles Toll Road entrances. To fund future projects, communities should be encouraged impose impact fees on developers.

I do not support the new traffic abuser fees which were written by my opponent. They give immunity to out of state drivers and will not generate the funding we need because as drivers modify their habits, revenue will decrease.

Do you think current policies governing growth & development in your area are too restrictive, not restrictive enough or just right?

not restrictive enough
