Why should voters elect you?
My 14 years' experience on the Environmental Quality Advisory Council and my ability to work across partisan lines with business and community leaders.
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
The top priority is the restoration of stream valleys, watersheds and environmental quality corridors. I would like to explore more innovative ways to reduce the impact of nonpoint source pollution with our business leaders and citizens.
What is your plan to address the traffic problems in Virginia?
To work with business and community leaders to encourage greater use of mass transit, especially
Bus Rapid Transit. Also, to encourage Ride Sharing, telecommuniting and off-peak hour work scheduling.
The Directors of the Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conservation District have no direct authority to deal with this issue.
Do you think current policies governing growth & development in your area are too restrictive, not restrictive enough or just right?
