What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
The most significant problem will be balancing the needs of our changing demographics with financial realities. More students need ESOL services. We also need to provide challenging opportunities for high-performing students and provide all students with the skills to compete beyond high school. The real challenge will be to achieve these goals with the same or less money while making certain taxpayers get full value for their investment. With revenue projected to be at best flat, I am dedicated to protecting our teachers and staff but there must be accountability for every dime we spend.
