Why should voters elect you?

"Voters should reelect me because I have the experience needed to move us forward. I remain passionate about providing a quality education to their children."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"The schools in Sully District and Fairfax County produce top-notch graduates who are well-prepared for college or to enter the marketplace. My constituents tell me they are concerned about class size and the large size of some of our high schools. I will continue to work to address these issues. Parents want their children to receive individual attention for their educational needs. I share their goals. Obviously, ensuring that students meet the requirements of state and federal mandates, while providing a challenging and rich curriculum (which goes beyond what is measured on a multiple-choice test), remains a significant priority."

What is your plan to address the traffic problems in Virginia?

While the school board has no jurisdiction over roads and traffic, I am sensitive to the impact our buses and student drivers have on our roads.

Do you think current policies governing growth & development in your area are too restrictive, not restrictive enough or just right?

not restrictive enough
