Why should voters elect you?

"We need difference makers in Richmond who have new ideas and energy to solve problems important to our region. I will be a difference maker."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"The traffic congestion in this area puts an enormous amount of pressure on families, individuals and businesses. We need to stop talking about transportation solutions and start doing something about it. We need better planning for growth, roads that are completed on time and on budget, and a bus system for the 21st century. We cannot afford to let this issue wait any longer because the destiny of our region is not guaranteed."

What is your plan to address the traffic problems in Virginia?

Addressing our traffic problems will take more than just a vote in Richmond, it will take a more effective voice and stronger leadership in the 67th District. We need a long-term vision that includes better planning, new and wider roads, and a bus system for the 21st century. There is no silver bullet to our situation here in Northern Virginia and the fix is not going to happen overnight. We need to do a better job of getting more of our tax dollars back from Richmond, but we must also engage in a partnership with all levels of government and the private sector to develop 21st Century transportation solutions.

We must also fix the abuser fees that my opponent continues to support so that out of state drivers are not exempted and that enormous fees are not levied for relatively minor traffic infractions.

Do you think current policies governing growth & development in your area are too restrictive, not restrictive enough or just right?

not restrictive enough
