Why should voters elect you?
Using experience from 25 years working and living in Alexandria, I will be a problem solver and bipartisan-consensus builder.
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
Unrelenting traffic congestion, which adds unwelcome stress to everyday life virtually seven days a week, from getting to and from work during the week to running errands on the weekends.
What is your plan to address the traffic problems in Virginia?
We must immediately eliminate unfair and ill-conceived traffic abuser fees and find alternative sources of revenue. Rail extension to Tysons Corner is also crucial, as is continued and increased dedicated funding for Metro and incentives for employers -- particularly governmental agencies -- to make telecommuting more widely available. We must also work to eliminate waste and make VDOT more efficient.
Do you think current policies governing growth & development in your area are too restrictive, not restrictive enough or just right?
just right
