Why should voters elect you?
Ramona will fight for local control of our schools and has 21 years of proven leadership for all Fairfax's schools on all levels of government.
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
The most pressing issue facing Fairfax County schools is the unfunded federal mandate of No Child Left Behind. Over the past five years, Fairfax County has spent more than $407 million preparing for No Child Left Behind with not nearly enough federal aid. Our district failed to meet NCLB's requirements largely because NCLB's inflexible, bureaucratic accountability scheme forced us to test limited-English proficient students on a regular English test. It is time to leave Fairfax County schools in local control, instead of rigid, expensive, top-down federal mandates and opt out of No Child Left Behind.
What is your plan to address the traffic problems in Virginia?

Do you think current policies governing growth & development in your area are too restrictive, not restrictive enough or just right?
