Why should voters elect you?
"I have a record of honesty, hard work and effectiveness in public office. As an independent, I will be fair to all residents and parties."
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"The most urgent problem we face in Woodbridge is the lack of an enforceable zoning code that will pass constitutional muster and allow us to restrict multiple families from living in single-family homes and boarding houses that exceed reasonable numbers of occupants. We must also address the related problem of overcrowded roads caused by runaway development."
What is your plan to address the traffic problems in Virginia?
We must convince our representatives in the Virginia House of Delegates and Senate to form a bi-partisian caucus for transportation and work to elect a speaker in the house and leadership in the senate that will mandate that all Gasoline tax revenues will return dollar-for-dollar to the localities in which they are collected. there is no substitute for this essential reform. The patchwork scheme that the House Republicans and the Democratic Governor agreed on last year is unacceptable. Localities may take on additional projects at their own expense if they wish, as has always been the case, but the state has, and should retain, the primary responsibility for road construction in the Commonwealth. Abusive driver's fees, if they are enacted, should be to make our roards safer, not to fund road construction.
Do you think current policies governing growth & development in your area are too restrictive, not restrictive enough or just right?
not restrictive enough
