Why should voters elect you?

"I will put residents first by eliminating conflicts of interest and restoring integrity to the Board of Supervisors."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"Traffic and taxes caused by extreme residential overdevelopment are Loudoun's biggest problems. Developers have way too much influence with the current board. There is an ethical cloud over the current board majority. The voters have lost faith in that majority's integrity and its ability to cope with the county's most urgent problems. To cure those problems, Loudoun needs supervisors who will significantly bring down the rate of new housing development and who will give back control of the county to its residents."

What is your plan to address the traffic problems in Virginia?

Gridlock in Loudoun is bad and getting worse. Road improvements for the sake of existing residents, rather than for the sake of new housing development, should come first and right now. We need to get developers to complete the half-finished roads they leave behind as they move on to build more houses. My opponent, Mr. Snow, is more interested in helping developers build more houses than he is in helping us get to work. To get traffic moving again, we need to slow new housing down while attracting more professional, taxable, employers to the county. Loudoun's people can work where they live and get to work on uncrowded streets, but we need a supervisor who will put professional business growth at the top of his agenda. More work-at-home, flex-time, and public transportation options will help, as will more pressure on Richmond, but the real solution is in new leadership.

Do you think current policies governing growth & development in your area are too restrictive, not restrictive enough or just right?

not restrictive enough
