Why should voters elect you?

"I reflect the new face of Mason District, with a passionate commitment to reduce crime, improve congestion and reduce taxes."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"I decided to run for office when my neighbor, Marion Marshall, was murdered in broad daylight in her own home, just four doors from where I raised my daughter. I've since learned that despite being the wealthiest county in the United States, Fairfax has no 24-hour homicide bureau nor a 24-hour narcotics, juvenile/gangs or sex crimes bureau. We pay emergency personnel so poorly that two-thirds of our police can't afford to live in the jurisdictions they patrol. While the failures of the board in transportation and taxes are critical, I believe public safety should be a top issue."

What is your plan to address the traffic problems in Virginia?

We now have a Northern Virginia Transportation Authority to deal with these issues locally. I want to work with them, through the Board of Supervisors, to ensure that the Mason District's priorities are realized, especially reducing the bottlenecks that in my view are a hidden tax on each of us.

Do you think current policies governing growth & development in your area are too restrictive, not restrictive enough or just right?

not restrictive enough
