Why should voters elect you?
Talk is cheap. I have seniority and a proven record of getting things done billions of dollars obtained for health care, transportation, fighting crime and education.
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
Aside from bringing our troops home from Iraq, which is the most urgent problem facing our nation, the most pressing need in our district is changing our domestic policy. We must build a better educational system by making significant reforms to the No Child Left Behind Act, making tuition tax deductible, cutting loan fees and increasing grants for underprivileged students. This domestic policy should include providing universal health coverage for everyone, creating domestic jobs and transit projects (i.e., Purple Line), as well as fighting global warming with a cap and trade program to limit emissions.
