Why should voters elect you?
"I will be a strong voice to encourage community involvement so all students achieve their potential and graduate from high school ready for postsecondary opportunities."
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"Among the many urgent issues, preparing students for high school graduation is perhaps the most pressing. Gains being made in elementary school must be sustained. This, with the continued implementation of middle school reform, should prepare students for academic challenges that will open doors. To close the achievement gap that persists for minority students, non-native English speakers, students with disabilities and those who live in poverty, there must be high expectations for all. High school graduates must know how to read, think critically, use technology, perform math functions and be ready for postsecondary education and living in a global community."
