Why should voters elect you?
"I am passionate about public education, I can think outside the box and I will make a positive difference."
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
"The upcoming shortfall of approximately $10 million in state funding to Howard County public education due to the actions taken in the recent special session is the most urgent problem facing our schools. The reduction in state funding imperils plans to attract the best teachers and to renovate aging schools. In addition, the funding shortfall places pressure on our efforts to provide additional support for students who have special needs. In addition to taking immediate action to reduce expenditures, the Board of Education must be more proactive in explaining our students' needs to the General Assembly."
