Why should voters elect you?
Integrity, congressional experience, the determination needed to bring our troops home, make health care affordable, achieve energy independence, protect our environment and balance the budget.
What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?
Preserving the character and quality of life in Maryland's 1st District is the most urgent problem facing this vast region of uncommon diversity. This district covers the entire Eastern Shore, portions of Anne Arundel, Harford and Baltimore counties, includes farmland, fishing communities, high-tech and defense industries, renowned medical facilities and four of our state's finest universities. Through the heart of this district, and shaping its character, flows the Chesapeake Bay. Protecting the health of this vital estuary and its tributaries while balancing the interests of agriculture and growth is essential to protecting a way of life unique in America.
