Why should voters elect you?

"Electing the same kind of candidates produces the same kind of results. I will bring fresh ideas and leadership back to our district and nation."

What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"We face many challenges: the economy, education, health care, immigration and environment. Each is complex but provides us, as a community, as a district and as a nation, with an opportunity to find real long-term solutions. The subprime mortgage crisis is having a negative effect on our district and the nation's economy. As your congressman, I'll work to support laws and programs that promote long-term strategies of saving, risk management and financial literacy in our communities and schools, while strengthening consumer and anti-predatory protections and enforcing debt collection laws. With sacrifice and planning, we can restore America's dream of homeownership."
