What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"The biggest problems facing education are not about money but about a lack of parental involvement and a lack of school discipline. Teachers having to teach to a test. Calvert County teachers are some of the best in Maryland, yet their hands are tied. They know they don't have the time needed to properly teach the curriculum block given to them. Many times children can't keep up and fall behind. Teachers need more flexibility in how they instruct their class. Administrators are dumbing down our children; we should be creating critical thinkers. Not memorized, pencil-the-blank test-takers."
