What do you think is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

"The most urgent problem facing CCPS is the time and resources we expend on testing students. The testing severely restricts instructional time, discourages talented teachers and frustrates parents and students. The focus on testing limits a teacher's opportunity to invest in goals we have traditionally associated with the role of public education: to inspire a lifelong love of learning, guide students to pursue their curiosity and to bring out the best in each student. The focus on testing has budget and planning implications; a resource dedicated to testing reduces resources for other worthwhile activities in our schools."
