What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

Now that legislation and enforcement of residential overcrowding is underway, the most urgent problem facing Herndon is fiscal responsibility. Herndon is facing decreasing revenue and increasing expenses. Herndon must continue to find ways to enhance revenue while sharing the burden fairly among residential and commercial entities and visitors within our community. Herndon must be financially sound while continuing to maintain our quality of life and superior bond rating.

Why should voters elect you?

I bring a business and financial prospective to the council that is currently missing.

What steps, if any, should your county take to mitigate the affects of a slowing economy?

I would form a task force consisting of the business community, Department of Community Development and the Fairfax County Economic Authority to find alternative solutions to bring jobs into the Town.

What is your position on illegal immigration and the affect it has had on your county?

Illegal Aliens have brought residential overcrowding, increased crime, burdened our schools, and contributed to the forclosure problem in the County. We need to stop the flow of money that supports it.

In March, the Virginia Supreme Court ruled the transportation package passed by lawmakers last year unconstitutional, endangering major projects across the region. What steps, if any, should the county, region and state take to address funding issues for transportation projects?

The State must realize that as Northern Virginia goes, so goes the rest of Virginia. Northern Virginia must receive its fair share of revenues in order to fund transportation.
