What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

Given the current economic slowdown and the projected economic forecast for the next several years, I feel that the most pressing issue for the Town of Herndon will be to maintain the superior town services enjoyed by our citizens without sacrificing the quality of life that we enjoy living in the town.

Why should voters elect you?

I am an active community volunteer, community leader, neighborhood activist with more than 12 years of continuous service to our town.

What steps, if any, should your county take to mitigate the affects of a slowing economy?

With the shortfall in revenues projected to last for several budget cycles, it may be necessary to re-prioritize and possibly postpone some capital improvements and budget expenditures.

What is your position on illegal immigration and the affect it has had on your county?

Illegal immigration has deleterious effects on our neighborhoods. I support enforcement efforts to remove criminal illegal aliens from our community.

In March, the Virginia Supreme Court ruled the transportation package passed by lawmakers last year unconstitutional, endangering major projects across the region. What steps, if any, should the county, region and state take to address funding issues for transportation projects?

More pressure on the General Assembly to increase Transportation Funding, for new construction AND operations and maintanence. Allocate funds based on population of a county.
