What is the most urgent problem facing your jurisdiction?

To provide excellent education for every student, sufficient to allow each to compete to his/her maximum potential for placement in higher education and/or the job market. To succeed in this, we must sustain small class and school sizes, retain and recruit top-notch teachers, administrators and other staff, and give students, staff and parents access to facilities suitable for a world-class education. Among these facilities are sufficient time and a strategy for using it with the greatest positive impact for learning achievement.

Why should voters elect you?

In 10 years on the school board, I've shown ability to work with the community, and knowledge of school calendar options and other best practices

What steps, if any, should your county take to mitigate the affects of a slowing economy?

Take creative approaches to deliver excellent services at low cost, including multiple uses of facilities. Develop non-tax-based revenue sources. Protect the poor and vulnerable from the slowdown's harsh effects.
